In France, textile production has fallen just over 10% year on year in volume terms during the first seven months of 2003, with deliveries to the major European customers (Germany, Belgium and the UK) experiencing a decline. Similar to the decline in textiles, French apparel production fell by a fifth during the first seven months of 2003 compared with same period in 2002.
