Winning wool website
AWI’s Merino Innovation website, www.merinoinnovation.com, designed to help retailers, manufacturers and designers find information about using Australian Merino wool, has received the Australian Interactive Media Industry Association (AIMIA) Award for the Best Corporate or Business-to-Business website.
The AIMIA awards are the peak awards for the interactive media and digital content sectors in Australia, and each year provide a strong and innovative showcase of award-winning Australian digital content creations.
Pascal Senkoff, general manager of apparel development and marketing at AWI, says: “To have our website recognised for such a prestigious award is a great achievement for AWI. It confirms that AWI is presenting a unique, innovative and impressive communications tool for retailers, manufacturers and designers looking to source information on Australian Merino wool.”
A judging panel of more than 120 Australian and international experts from across the interactive media spectrum had the task of selecting winners from a high-calibre list of finalists, ranging from small businesses to larger, well-established organisations.
John Butterworth, chief executive of AIMIA, says: “This year’s range of award entries clearly indicates how digital content has become a part of everyday society. From the work we do in the industry, we’ve seen that digital and interactive media are as recognised and sought-after as traditional media, with more consumers accessing the internet now than ever before.
What is impressive is the breadth of industries covered by our winning entries. From financial services, travel, agriculture, real estate and defence, as well as the more ‘traditional’ digital content offerings in entertainment and communication, this year we have witnessed more diversity than ever.”
