BESTWOOL / BESTLAMB (Victoria)

BESTWOOL / BESTLAMB is a farmer driven education and adoption program that aims to help Victorian woolgrowers increase their productivity and profitability. Wool4Wealth (New South Wales)

The Wool4Wealth grower groups for New South Wales, launched in March 2005, are a valuable way of helping woolgrowers adopt new and improved ways of doing business. The NSW network will incorporate groups of between 10 and 20 farm businesses that over three years will look at profit drivers, compare practices and look for opportunities to lift members’ profits. Bestprac (Rangelands of SA, NSW, Qld and WA)

The Bestprac program aims to have rangeland woolgrowers applying a management system that lifts individual profit, well-being and environment by five per cent. Bestprac involves woolgrowers assessing their businesses to identify "strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats" and then deciding on priorities. Leading Sheep (Queensland)

The Leading Sheep program was launched in March 2005 to help improve farm management on-farm production, and business profitability in Queensland. It involves four grower groups looking at issues and business topics most relevant to their local area. 8x5 Wool Profit Program (Tasmania)

The 8x5 Wool Profit Program is an integrated research, development and extension program to assist Tasmanian wool producers achieve an 8 per cent annual return on assets managed within 5 years through access to benchmarking, best practice information, group improvement initiatives and a State-wide wool profit awards program.
