OFFM extension and adoption
Through the spread of the OFFM program, the wool industry will reap benefits in sheep breeding, fibre production management and raw wool marketing.
The extension and adoption program aims to provide woolgrowers and wool industry stakeholders with skills and knowledge to effectively apply OFFM technologies within their wool production, preparation, and marketing systems, therefore boosting industry profitability.
Specifically it aims to improve:
- sheep breeding;
- fibre production management; and
- raw wool marketing.
The project is an initiative of AWI in partnership with the Australian Sheep Industry Cooperative Research Centre (Sheep CRC), a Commonwealth Government initiative. It is co-funded by AWI, the Sheep CRC and the International Fibre Centre (IFC).
