‘Bounce Back’ from Drought forums

The ‘Bounce Back’ from Drought forums were held in March and April 2007 to give sheep and wool producers simple and practical advice on how to plan for a speedy recovery from drought.

An initiative of AWI and Meat & Livestock Australia (MLA), the forums outlined various options for rebuilding sheep businesses coming out of drought, keeping financial and cash-flow implications front of mind.

Advice on flock-building options and implications, tactics to improve reproductive performance, and ways to rejuvenate drought-affected pastures back to life, all featured.

Alongside expert speakers local producers shared their own experiences of surviving the drought and detailed their plans going forward.

The ‘Bounce Back’ from Drought forums were conducted with event partners Landmark and Elders Limited, and the support of the Department of Primary Industries in each state. AWI and MLA would like to thank them for their support.
